Betty Bumpers, wife of the former governor of Arkansas and former U.S. senator Dale Bumpers, join her friend Joan Baker in extending condolences to the wife and family of President Trajkovski. They met with Mrs. Trajkovski to discuss a planned Balkan women's leadership program in 2001. Betty is the founder (along with Rosalynn Carter) of Peace Links and Every Child by Two. She is presently on the Board of Directors of the U.S.Institute of Peace.
